The hotly anticipated Galaxy note II phablet will be available in the middle of November with Samsung planning on holding a media event towards the back-end of October to much more than likely confirm official worldwide release dates. While we wait form the successor to the original Galaxy note to land on our shelves, Samsung has released the large but beautiful device in South Korea along with a long comprehensive video that highlights the device’s features inside out.

The Galaxy note II is Samsung’s follow-up to the original device that was launched in 2011 which they advertised as combining the best of a range of different devices that are of benefit to consumers. The physical size of the device implied that Samsung felt they could offer the benefits of a smartphone, tablet, notepad, planner and portable gaming device all into one, which is a theory they are testing out to new levels with the introduction of the highly capable Galaxy note II. The Korean based company have released the video on their Samsung Mobile YouTube channel to not only promote the new device ahead of the worldwide launch but to also show off its advanced features.

As you might imagine, a lot of the onus of the Samsung video and corresponding advertising campaigns are focused on the beautiful 5.5-inch display. For a mobile and portable device, a display of this quality and size provides users an amazing experience when viewing videos, flicking through photos or even interacting with files or apps using the bundled S Pen. The very HD AMOLED display features heavily in the promotional video, as well as the developments made in the Gallery section of the device. Samsung is also keen to show off the new found power of the multi-window feature of the Galaxy note II that allows windows to be resized and swapped between different apps on demand.

The one thing that right away stands apart about the video, aside from the fact that the Galaxy note II looks like an incredibly useful device to have, is the heavy focus that is being lavished on the S Pen that ships with the unit. The majority of the features that are demonstrated in the video are done so using the S Pen, so maybe having a device with a stylus isn’t such a crazy idea after all. check out the video for yourself and see if it has you eagerly awaiting the launch of the Galaxy note II.
